Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive quality inspections of packaging materials (primary and secondary) upon receipt, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor and inspect packaging lines during production to verify adherence to established procedures, including labeling, batch coding, and assembly.
- Conduct in-process checks and final inspections of packaged products, identifying and documenting any deviations or non-conformities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspection activities, test results, and quality data.
- Collaborate with production, R&D;, and supply chain teams to address packaging-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the investigation of packaging defects and customer complaints, contributing to root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Participate in the development and revision of packaging specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control plans.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Operate and maintain quality control testing equipment for packaging materials and finished products.
- Provide training and guidance to production personnel on packaging quality standards and best practices.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Proven experience at least 5 years in Quality Control within the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or food industry, specifically with packaging materials and processes.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and relevant quality regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken (C1).
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and documentation.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement tools.
- Familiarity with various packaging equipment and technologies.
- Knowledge of Spanish is a significant plus.
- Prior experience in a hybrid work setting.
