Online Community Manager (Social Media) - Italian speaker (fully remote) - 6 months contract with potential to extend beyond 12 months

As the Community Operations Specialist, you will be central to jumpstarting and nurturing local communities in Italy. You should be proficient in both English and Italian and focused on proactive initiatives to connect with local volunteer moderators, as well as innovate, iterate, refine, and scale our international consumer playbook. Your insights and experiments will help accelerate our growth in Italy.

Responsibilities :
* Gain a deep understanding of the Italian market, identifying user and moderator pain points, competitors, and opportunities.
* Cultivate, recruit, educate, and expand a local community of volunteer moderators, and implement a conversion funnel to onboard external creators and local users into active moderators.
* Serve as a public face to local volunteer moderators to build trust and drive engagement, mediating conflicts and facilitating solutions.
* Iterate, innovate, and scale the consumer growth playbook by recognizing new opportunities, proposing bold ideas, and persuading internal teams to adopt new plans.
* Communicate insights—both quantitative and qualitative—to optimize the international consumer growth strategies.
* Focus on achieving ambitious goals and outcomes.
* Run reports, build dashboards, analyze data, set KPIs, and execute impactful community initiatives, leveraging data to uncover insights that influence market strategies.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and Business Development teams.
What We Can Expect From You :
* 2-5 years of experience in community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting with a proven track record of community-led projects impacting business.
* Deep knowledge of Italian culture, including current events, politics, customs, traditions, language, and societal topics.
* Understanding of the digital landscape and internet culture specific to Italy, with an appreciation for its diverse cultural facets.
* Effective communicator in Italian and English, capable of collaborating across various teams and stakeholders.
* Results-driven with meticulous attention to detail.
* Strong interest in developing and executing projects, framing issues, testing hypotheses, and iterating on processes.
* Proficiency in Italian and English, and based in the EU timezone.
Bonus Points :
* Experience with moderation (e.g., Discord, internet forums).
* Proficiency in SQL.
