Our system integrator client is looking for Technical Expert for an SAP - ServiceNow integration project with the following responsibilities and requirements:
As the OAuth Authentication Technical Expert, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure authentication flows between SAP and ServiceNow platforms.
This role requires strong technical expertise, cross-team collaboration, and the ability to troubleshoot complex authentication and authorization challenges.
Responsibilities
* Setting up an OAuth2 interface between SAP and ServiceNow
* Design and implement OAuth 2.0 authentication flows
* Configure secure integrations between SAP and ServiceNow
* Work with API gateways and identity providers (IdPs)
* Perform security reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards
* Troubleshoot authentication failures and integration issues
* Collaborate with SAP, ServiceNow, and infrastructure teams
* Document architecture, configurations, and best practices
Required Experience
* 5+ years of experience in enterprise system integration
* Strong hands‑on experience with OAuth 2.0 and modern authentication protocols
* Experience integrating SAP systems with external platforms
* Experience with ServiceNow API integrations
* Solid understanding of: REST APIs, JWT tokens, TLS/SSL, Identity and Access Management (IAM)
* Experience with API management tools and security frameworks
* Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
Nice to have
* German knowledge on working proficiency level
* Experience with SAP BTP authentication services
* ServiceNow IntegrationHub experience
* Familiarity with SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC)
* Knowledge of enterprise security compliance frameworks
Conditions
* Ability to contract on B2B basis is a must
* Residency and cleared legal status in the European Union is inevitable
