Offer Description
1. OBJECT
This call for "Research Talent" aims to hire 1 postdoctoral researcher for the CIF, targeting doctoral scientists of any nationality interested in developing their research activity with international projection and experience, based solely on excellence.
The goal is to support outstanding science projects in areas like industrial robotics, materials, process optimization, naval and offshore engineering, industrial management, and product development.
The contract duration is 3 years, with a possible 1-year extension, formalized as a Scientific-Technical Activities contract under Law 14/2011. The researcher will:
* Join a strategic research line of the CIF.
* Generate synergies with CIF researchers.
* Attract research personnel in training.
* Establish collaborations nationally and internationally.
* Apply for funding through calls.
* Disseminate results internationally.
* Develop research products for industry transfer.
* Publish in high-impact journals.
2. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Funding of 30,000 euros is available for establishing a research line, used for justified expenses such as equipment, infrastructure, travel, access to infrastructures, intellectual property costs, support services, publication costs, and other related expenses. All expenses must be justified by October 31, 2026.
Applicants must:
* Hold a doctoral degree.
* Have completed at least 24 months of pre- or postdoctoral stays outside the country where they obtained their degree.
* Not have previously benefited from the "Research Talent" program at the Ferrol Industrial Campus.
Additional Information
Applications will be evaluated based on:
* Scientific career excellence (max 55 points).
* Internationalization (max 25 points).
* Ability to lead research (max 20 points).
* Research project proposal (max 20 points).
* Support and integration commitment (5 points).
Selection involves an initial merit review followed by an interview, with a minimum total score of 50 points required for inclusion on the waiting list.
Applicants must submit specific documentation, including a technical report, research career description, project proposal, support letter, and copies of degrees, among others, within specified deadlines.
Contract termination conditions include non-compliance, abandonment, or data falsification.
