Your Tasks
* Perform FEM calculations of various structures to support the design of mechanical components and tooling for multi-megawatt platforms.
* Conduct simulations and calculations for the development, design, and verification of steel constructions and mechanical components of wind turbines.
* Collaborate closely and communicate regularly with other development, specialist departments, component manufacturers, and certification bodies.
* Develop new concepts in compliance with current standards and regulations, interpret these regulations, and transfer technology to development teams.
* Design structural components considering all lifecycle phases and support root cause analysis of field issues.
* Develop and document calculation methods to continuously improve team processes.
Your Profile
* Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical).
* Mandatory training in finite element method calculations.
* Strong knowledge of analytics, statics, dynamics, and physical operating principles.
* Experience in designing steel structures and mechanical components according to standards and regulations for wind turbines, especially EUROCODE.
* Knowledge of fatigue analysis methods and structural dynamics.
* Proficiency in programming and developing analysis tools (MathCad, Matlab, Python).
* Flexibility, dynamism, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
* Optional: Programming skills.
* Languages: English (required), German and Spanish (preferred).
* Minimum 5 years of experience in the wind turbine sector.
* Willingness to travel.
