The Medical Liaison Manager is critical enabler role for the execution of the medical strategy in the field of the BU RD, and should:
# Co-lead with the Iberia Medical Director, core medical affairs initiatives such as congress & publication strategy, symposia, data generation, advisory boards and field-medical material localisation/ training.
# Support the execution of complex medical/scientific projects and contributes to the achievement of shared objectives.
# Continuously update his/her skills and knowledge of the therapeutic area, patient treatment trends, clinical trials and scientific activities in the field of DMD.
# Develop and maintain a national and regional database of key strategic contacts for each relevant product and disease area.
# Enable and support core partner functions including sales, marketing, and market access, working in a crossfunctional environment.
Designs & delivers core medical affairs external engagement/partnership projects (in close collaboration with Medical Director.
Maintains an up to date and high-level knowledge of the therapy area & products, new and emerging areas of research, therapeutic issues, and trends.
Develops mutually beneficial relationships with national, regional, and local External Experts in Spain & Portugal, leading to a productive two-way scientific exchange and achievement of mutually agreed upon objectives related to educational projects, data generation, publications, etc.
Scientific, healthcare or medical degree (BSc, MS, PhD, PharmD, RN, MBBS, MB.Advanced Portuguese, English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry desirable in Medical Affairs type role, dealing with hospital products (desirable Rare Diseases).
Ability to research and critically analyse and communicate complex scientific and medical information and data.
Excellent planning and organization skills, with high-level attention to detail and accuracy.
Robust knowledge of local regulations related to industry interactions with Spain & Portugal healthcare professionals.
Valid driver’s license.
Specific therapeutic area experience preferred in Duchenne, rare diseases, neurology and/or neuromuscular.
