Summary:
The Director of Technology will oversee all aspects of technology at Chatham County RESA. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing technology strategies to support the RESA and our member districts. The Director of Technology will work closely with RESA staff and leadership at our member districts to ensure that technology is used effectively and efficiently to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement technology strategies that support the school's mission and goals
- Manage the school's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students
- Train faculty and staff on the use of technology in the classroom and in administrative operations
- Ensure that technology is used effectively and efficiently to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative operations
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and recommend new technologies that could benefit the school
- Develop and manage the technology budget
- Manage technology vendors and contracts
- Ensure that the school's technology policies and procedures are up-to-date and followed
- Collaborate with other school leaders to ensure that technology is integrated into all aspects of the school's operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a technology leadership role
- Experience managing a technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
- Experience providing technical support to faculty, staff, and students
- Experience training faculty and staff on the use of technology in the classroom and in administrative operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in education technology
- Experience managing budgets and contracts.
