About the role : As Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support audits, and contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, international environment. Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing. Ensure accurate maintenance of the general ledger and timely reporting of financial data. Prepare and review VAT, local tax, and other statutory filings in compliance with Spanish regulations. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on reporting, cost control, and process improvements. Identify opportunities for automation and increased efficiency within accounting operations. Provide financial insights and support to management as needed. Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5–10 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an international environment. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and Spanish compliance requirements. Experience working with SAGE accounting software is a strong plus. Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written). Strong Excel and reporting skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, with strong problem-solving skills. What we offer
