As a Regulatory Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international food regulations, standards and customer-specific requirements. This role supports the company’s operations, quality, and R&D teams by interpreting regulatory guidelines, coordinating product approvals, and maintaining documentation for regulatory submissions.
The position requires regular communication with external regulatory bodies, customers and internal stakeholders, as well as the ability to manage multiple regulatory projects and product portfolios. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including global quality, PD, production, purchasing, marketing, legal, customer service and sales.
Responsibilities
Ensure company compliance with applicable food laws and regulations (EU, US FDA, Codex, etc.).
Serve as the contact point for ND (Oils, Flavors, Colors, Fibers) customer questionnaires.
Monitor regulatory changes and proactively inform relevant departments of new or amended requirements.
Maintain and update regulatory documentation such as specifications, MSDS's and declarations.
Prepare and submit product registrations, certifications and label approvals as required by target markets.
Evaluate raw materials and supplier documentation for regulatory compliance.
Review and approve product labels, packaging and marketing materials for compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist in handling audits and inspections by regulatory bodies and customers.
Contribute to the development and revision of internal policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements.
Support R&D during new product development phase.
Provide training to internal stakeholders on regulatory topics and awareness.
Authorities
Authorized to review and approve regulatory documents for internal and external use.
Authorized to correspond with regulatory bodies and certification authorities on behalf of the company.

Experience and qualifications
B.Sc. in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in regulatory affairs in the food or beverage industry.
Familiarity with global food regulations (e.g., EU, FDA, CODEX, EFSA).
Skills and competencies
High level of written and verbal English communication skills.

Proficiency in documentation management systems and MS Office Suite.
