What you will do
* Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers, helping them grow and perform at their best
* Take ownership of the design, development, deployment, and operation of cloud services
* Drive technical excellence across the team, including scalability, maintainability, and correctness
* Play a key role in shaping system design and validating technical solutions
* Contribute to the technical roadmap and align engineering direction with product and customer needs
* Support hiring activities and help attract strong talent into the team
* Foster an open, blameless, and collaborative engineering culture
* Partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Agile stakeholders
What we are looking for
* 5+ years of experience building and delivering software products
* 3+ years in a technical leadership role, with ownership of projects and engineering direction
* 2+ years of people management / disciplinary leadership experience
* Strong servant leadership mindset, with a genuine passion for supporting and empowering others
* Strong experience with Kubernetes, ideally with certifications such as CKA or CKAD
* Experience developing Kubernetes Operators
* Solid understanding of networking, including areas such as Linux networking, routing, or SDN
* Comfortable working in agile, cloud-native, and product-oriented environments
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Business fluent English
Nice to have
* Experience with OpenStack
* German language skills
