EF Malaga Junior Summer School is looking for a team of four live-in junior summer residence staff to assist in providing the best experience in a fun yet professional manner to our youngest international students, who are between the ages of 13 and 17. Are you interested? Keep reading!
Join us in Málaga in summer 2026 for an amazing six- to eight-week work experience in hospitality and customer service. You will acquire invaluable skills to help shape your future career. Make friends that will last a lifetime while gaining experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume school over the summer.
This is an on-site, live-in position, and room is provided as part of the compensation package.
You are
* Minimum age: 21 years old
* Fluent in Spanish ( C1+ level) and English (B2 level). Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
* Looking to expand your experience within EF and the hospitality industry
* Creative and energetic with common sense
* You work well in a team with little supervision and accept challenges head-on.
* You can handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure.
What are we looking for?
Previous experience working with international groups of young students at an EF school will be considered an asset.
* Someone vigilant about ensuring student safety and maintaining quality standards for the residence.
* Someone who displays excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
* Someone who shows initiative and does whatever it takes to get the job done.
* Someone who is patient, flexible, and positive.
What will you do?
Reporting to our Center Manager, your main responsibility will be to create a “home away from home” atmosphere for our international students.
* Check that rooms are ready, clean, and available for arriving students.
* Meet and greet new students upon their arrival. Assist with check-in and escort students to their rooms.
* Perform regular room checks to ensure that the facilities are in good condition and well-maintained.
* Curfew checks. Ensure that residence rules are being followed and report all issues to the Center Manager.
* Report any maintenance issues to the Center Manager.
* Assist students with welfare queries and questions.
* Liaise with school staff from the academic and housing departments.
* Organize and run activities for on-campus students.
This role is ideal for young professionals with international experience who want to save on accommodations while providing five-star service and guidance to our students.
