Since 2019, supported by the European Commission, OpenNebula Systems has been at the forefront of edge computing innovation in Europe, contributing to EU initiatives like IPCEI-CIS and the European Alliance for Industrial Data, Edge, and Cloud.
We seek a Cloud-Edge Solutions Documentation Technical Advisor (Contractor) to support our IPCEI-CIS project, developing next-generation management platforms for the Cloud-Edge Computing Continuum. This role offers an opportunity to influence future cloud-edge interoperability, AI integration, and infrastructure management.
Objective
The role involves supporting the project team in producing and improving technical documentation across cloud and edge computing use cases, ensuring best practices and high-quality content aligned with open source principles, Diátaxis framework, and stakeholder needs.
You will collaborate with engineers, product owners, community contributors, and managers to structure, review, and enhance documentation within the IPCEI-CIS ecosystem.
Scope
Activities focus on WP4 Deployment of Distributed Intelligence Use Cases of the UNICO IPCEI-2023-003 project.
Services
1. Provide expert guidance on managing technical documentation lifecycle, ensuring consistency with development milestones.
2. Support creation of Release Notes for new ONEnextgen versions.
3. Assist in structuring and revising Tutorials, User Guides, and White Papers for clarity and user experience.
4. Review White Paper contributions with the Content & Community team for quality and consistency.
5. Improve Knowledge Base articles by integrating external best practices.
6. Help with editing and preparing project deliverables.
7. Promote documentation best practices across the organization.
8. Support community engagement through localization and quality assurance initiatives.

From August 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026 (11 months)

Remote, with occasional face-to-face meetings

Maximum hourly rate:
35 euros

Administrative Requirements
Before contract signing, contractors must provide:
