We are looking for an Accountant to support our Finance Department in our headquarters in Madrid, Spain. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing and internationally recognized company, collaborating on accounting and administrative support tasks.
Main responsibilities
Manage the full accounting cycle end-to-end, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Knowledge of intercompany operations.
Prepare and file taxes.
Monitor and control the financial statements of subsidiaries.
Optimize accounting processes through automation and continuous improvement.
Coordinate internal and external audits, acting as the main point of contact.
Issue invoices.
Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional tasks.
Act as a business partner to the Finance Manager.
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Solid experience in financial accounting, ideally in dynamic or international environments.
Advanced knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
Proven experience in financial closings and reporting.
Advanced Excel skills and good command of ERP systems.
Strong analytical skills, results-oriented mindset, and attention to detail.
Essential: autonomy, proactivity, and strong problem-solving skills for complex issues.
Essential: strong communication and teamwork skills within the finance team and across departments.
Nice to have
English proficiency, given the company’s international environment.
Good knowledge of accounting task automation tools.
