This role goes beyond building pipelines: it’s about shaping our data strategy, modeling the business, and enabling teams to make smarter decisions with reliable data.We’re looking for a data generalist who can build data pipelines, model data, and work closely with business teams to make it accessible and actionable. If your goal is to go deep into data infra or big data engineering, this isn’t the right fit. If you want to own problems end to end, grow fast, and shape how data is used in a scaling startup, it’s a great match.You’ll be part of the Data & AI team. Your core focus is data modeling and business enablement, but if you’re curious about AI, you’ll have the chance to get involved in projects and experiments.Your main responsibilitiesBuild, maintain, and orchestrate data pipelines using modern workflow tools (e.g. Prefect, Airflow)Own Nova’s data models by designing clean, reliable dimensions and metrics that power dashboards and decisions.Ensure data quality through tests, validation, and documentation.Enable the business by making data accessible in our BI (Metabase) and supporting teams with dashboards and insights.Collaborate with Business, Product, and Tech to translate needs into structured data assets.Work in a fast, lean environment where ownership matters. And leveraging modern tools (like Cursor) to work smarter and keep Nova at the cutting edge.Requirements for this positionStrong skills in SQL and Python for data transformation and workflows.Experience modeling and structuring data for analytics and dashboards, with a solid understanding of concepts like dimensions and metrics.Experience integrating third-party data sources using tools like Airbyte or custom connectors.Experience orchestrating and maintaining data pipelines with tools like Prefect or Airflow.Comfortable with Git and working in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).Ownership mindset: you care about the data being reliable and trusted.Your compensationYearly base salary revision and global career opportunities
