Overview
At Progressive, we are currently looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join the Engineering department of one of the most important and fast-growing national companies in the energy sector.
Responsibilities
* Mechanical or electrical engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the commissioning of thermal power plants, EFW or similar. Responsible for coordinating the commissioning systems and coordinating the operation of the systems to start-up and shut down this type of plant.
* Demonstrates leadership and teamwork skills and the ability to solve problems independently.
* Report to the Commissioning Manager; coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines, such as electrical, I&C, operations, mechanical, etc.
* Coordinate with the site LOTO responsible Senior Authorized Person for planning and implementation of all permits related activities.
* Knowledge of permit to work requests and legal certifications to achieve MEC reports and readiness reports.
* Review and monitor subcontracting commissioning activities; review and approve commissioning procedures.
Experience required
* 3-5 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer with system responsibility.
* Experience in fossil fuel-based plants such as Waste to Energy, Coal, Biodiesel.
* If experienced in Combined Cycle Plants, focus on Water Systems and Vendor Operation Protocols (VOP).
