We are building next-generation surgical robotic platforms, and instrumentation is a critical part of our core technology. brYour mission brAs a Senior Systems / Test Engineer you will be responsible for defining, building and validating custom test benches used to characterize robotic surgical instruments. This is a key role inside our R D team, directly connected to product performance, safety and regulatory evidence. brYou will translate instrument requirements into test systems that allow us to understand, measure and validate real-world behaviour of robotic surgical tools, ensuring reliability in clinical use scenarios. brYour main responsibilities brTranslate robotic surgical instrument requirements into test bench specifications brDefine and lead validation protocols for instrumentation (force, hysteresis, fatigue, offset, grasping performance, stiffness, distal vs proximal behaviour) brDesign, build and validate custom test rigs for robotic surgery systems (mechanical + instrumentation + calibration) brExecute and analyse performance and reliability testing. brGenerate technical documentation for regulatory submissions in medical devices brEnsure traceability, calibration control and continuous improvement of testing systems used in surgical robotics brAct as a key link between design engineers and validation teams in iterative development cycles brSupport risk analysis with experimental data from testing What are we looking for? brDegree in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering or similar br5+ years of experience in V V / testing, ideally in robotic systems brStrong hands-on experience with test benches or rigs (preferably in robotics or surgical systems) brSolid understanding of mechanical testing, materials behaviour, fatigue and reliability brKnowledge of ISO 13485 / ISO 14971 and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) brExperience with data analysis (Excel; Python or MATLAB is a plus) brEnglish professional level (technical documentation) brSpanish native or fluent We are looking for someone who is... brPrevious experience in robotic surgery, medical robotics or high-precision robotic systems brHands-on, pragmatic and problem-solver by nature brComfortable working in a fast-paced brAble to connect mechanical design with experimental validation in complex robotic systems brAnalytical, structured and detail-oriented Nice to have brSensorised / hybrid robotic test benches brMATLAB or Python for data analysis brExposure to MDR / CE marking in medical devices brIterative design–test–learn development environments What do we offer? brFull-time permanent contract brCompetitive salary aligned with experience brFlexible working hours brHighly innovative and regulated environment with real impact on patients' lives brStrong engineering culture inside a surgical robotics company developing real medical robotic systems
