Head of general liability & medical malpractice

¿Dónde vas a trabajar?

This opportunity is with a well-established large organization in the insurance industry.


¿Qué harás en tu nuevo puesto?

* Manage New Business submissions of your Line of Business and settle the distribution criteria within the team: territorial, broker, type of risk, product, etc.
* Populate Quotes on the IT System: data collection, rating, pricing, underwriting analysis, wordings, etc.
* Authorize your team to issue quotes and follow up on them.
* Issue policies, including new policies and policy amendments that cannot be outsourced to Portfolio Management.
* Monitor, amend, and update the new business tariff.
* Manage new product releases or updates for existing products.
* Oversee non-tacit renewals of issued policies and new policies, issuing renewal proposals to brokers.
* Issue, update, and monitor the portfolio performance strategy.
* Support Business Developers and the Head of Market Facing Teams in sales initiatives, including meetings, presentations, and training with brokers.
* Develop and grow a knowledgeable producer population through strategic and tactical broker/producer development planning.
* Build strong relationships with brokers (local/region) to meet or exceed financial goals such as growth, profit, retention, and new business.
* Read, understand, and sign personal authority letters and technical guidelines, including reinsurance treaties, acting within scope and monitoring team compliance.
* Collaborate with Claims Department and work effectively with underwriting, operations, legal, and claims teams.
* Manage your own team: objectives, salaries, bonuses, career development, hiring, etc.
* Engage in innovation initiatives, product launches, marketing campaigns, and short-term projects to contribute to the company's success.
* Stay current with compliance, procedural, and workflow changes, ensuring all activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.


¿A quién buscamos (H / M / D)?

A successful Head GL / MM should have:

* A strong background in General Liability and Material Management.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance market in similar positions.
* Proven people management skills and experience.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize.
* Expertise in the insurance industry and a solid understanding of compliance standards.
* A proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
* Experience working in a large organization.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
