We are looking for a Product Manager to deliver localization requirements for our Accounting product that let our customers run the best professional services organisations on the planet.
Engage With Customers
* Customers are at the heart of everything we do. You will be empowered to collaborate fully with customers to gain a deep understanding of their goals and challenges. Bringing insights and opportunities back to the wider team to explore new solutions.
Discovery & Delivery
* Own the discovery and delivery objectives for Accounting localization features such as e-invoicing, VAT reporting and NF203 certification in France.
* Develop a rich understanding of customer needs in your problem space through research into mandates, regulatory requirements and NF203 certification audit feedback.
* Organise and prepare for the annual NF203 certification audit. This involves preparing demonstrations of Accounting functionality, preparing responses to previous non-conformances and points of vigilance. You will need to coordinate with external auditors and bring in colleagues to cover some aspects of the audit.
* Work with your team to iteratively deliver new localization functionality to our customers. Expect to learn, adapt and iterate on the fly.
* Draw on support from your experienced peers and discipline leads across Product Management, design and engineering.
* Own the responsibility for ensuring that features are ready to ship.
Go To Market
* Collaborate with key customers to help them adopt and go-live with the latest versions of the product, including capabilities which you helped shape, design and deliver.
* Help train our sales, services and support teams so they can make customers successful.
* Present new functionality to customers and partners as part of the new release process at webinars, our conference and occasionally one on one.
What You Need To Be Successful In This Role
* Experience and qualifications as an Accountant. Ideally with experience of preparing financial statements in a relevant country.
* A willingness to learn the product management skills, tools and practices used at Certinia.
* Strong attention to detail.
* A global mindset. We are a global company with global customers.
* Experience working on enterprise software products (particularly Accounting) and a working knowledge of the constraints and opportunities that this implies.
* A hunger and ability to learn quickly and work through ambiguity to create clarity.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to both listen and lead.
* Analytical and problem solving skills.
What Else Would Be Great
* Experience of Accounting software compliance audits
* Experience of using and/or implementing VAT reporting, e-invoicing and/or audit files
* Experience working in an Agile environment.
* Experience as a product owner, business analyst, systems accountant or systems implementor.
