Context Earlier this year, I sold my previous company. Since then, I’ve been running a series of structured experiments to figure out what I want to build next. I’ve done experiments in enterprise B2B, e-commerce, SaaS and sales tools. Two of the latest experiments are at the bottom of this post for context.
I can run solo, but I’m convinced it will be faster, more fun, and more successful with the right co-maker.
So I’m looking for an experienced partner who knows the ins-and-outs of at least one industry and has already done something interesting. You can build, sell, and market – but you’re exceptionally strong at building. You like simple, sharp products, fast validation, and small teams, and you intrinsically care about big-picture moves rather than micro-optimisations.
No need for a full leap on day one, but minimum 2-3 days per week and enough financial stability to explore without relying on a salary.
What we will do Run rapid validation experiments for focused, single‑feature products Products that help people make money, save money, or save time Ideally in a niche or sector that we are highly familiar with
Principles for ideas I’ll pursue Simple enough so that it’s possible to build a sellable MVP in under 10 days 10x cheaper or 10x better than current alternatives Single‑feature, easy‑to‑understand products with PLG and light sales touches
Fit examples Painkillers solving a real, recurring problem Scratching own itch Automation of repetitive niche tasks Unbundling a bloated tool into one sharp feature Distribution‑led concepts Painful problems in boring niches
Not a fit “Cool” tools without a painful problem Build‑it‑and‑they‑will‑come ideas Slightly better clones with no twist One‑time‑use utilities Seedy and unethical markets Low‑priced B2C Complex, heavy SaaS Difficult business model mechanics Passion projects with no market Consulting or agency work disguised as product Enterprise products and services
Already have something If you’re already working on something that you think fits these criteria, I’m keen to learn more!
Ambitions and working style Fast and highly organized minimal entrepreneurship Scientific and structured approach to product and growth Fully remote, with optional occasional in‑person work weeks Tiny, multi‑disciplinary founder team of 2 (maybe 3) plus adaptable freelance support Bootstrapped Low ego: best ideas win, no politics Targets after 1 year: 50k MRR, >80% margin, equal split
Validation strategy Budget: ~€2-5k per idea Timeline: 2 weeks to complete each cycle Deliverables per cycle: a. A landing page that looks like a real product (can be a high‑fidelity mock) b. Three distribution experiments (e.g. SEM, display, cold outreach) c. Analysis and a clear next‑step decision
Next step If this resonates with you, send me a message!
Latest experiments My most recent completed experiment was Opclaro.com. It started as an idea to help remote teams share better feedback, but through dozens of validation calls it grew into an enterprise solution... The market signals were strong, but the enterprise conversations agonized me. It helped me realize that I do not want to be involved with enterprises.
Right now, I’m testing Adwedge.com. Early signals are mixed — a 1% CTR on a €300 display test and a 4% positive rate on direct outreach — good, but potentially too limited “painkiller” pull. I’m currently running two more experiments to confirm or kill it.
