- **RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Actively engage in service and lead with a hands-on approach.
- Take the lead in growing wine sales in the restaurants.
- Maintain and update wine lists.
- Anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Advise guests on wines based on their personal taste and food pairings.
- Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and with the proper glassware.
- Maintain pars and report order needs.
- Help maintain the wine cellar, the beverage storeroom, and assist in monthly inventories.
- Create and participate in staff wine tasting and educational opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Complete opening side and closing side duties thoroughly and efficiently as assigned.
- Model the company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Experience as a sommelier in fine dining or luxury resort preferred but not required.
- WSET certifications or equivalent from another accredited wine institution.
- Passionate about wine, food, and world class hospitality.
- Warm, friendly and an excellent communicator.
- Extensive knowledge of wine and formal wine service.
