The role
We are looking for an Automation and Control Engineer to join GTD GmbH, part of the GTD Group specialized in the design and development of large, complex, and/or safety‑critical applications. GTD Sistemas de Información is an engineering company specialized in rockets (Ariane family) and ground control & command for different launchers and earth observation satellites (civil & military). We create breath‑taking, powerful software that is reliable and cost effective for space transportation, earth observation, and scientific exploration missions.
Position activities
The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for interpreting and designing electrical diagrams and schematics for automation cabinets and measurement systems. They will also generate comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, detailed designs, validation plans, and user manuals.
The role begins with a three‑month contract at our headquarters in Barcelona. After this period, the candidate will relocate to the permanent position location at GTD GmbH in Markdorf.
Your profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Electronics and Automation, or a related field
* Up to 3 years of relevant professional experience
* Experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff, etc.)
* Familiarity with the IEC 61131 standard
* Experience with SCADA systems programming and administration (WinCC, Citect, etc.)
* Knowledge of C programming
* Understanding of industrial fieldbus systems
* Experience in creating electrical schematics and diagrams
* Professional or bilingual level of English (C1)
* Willingness to relocate
Nice to have
* Knowledge in instrumentation
* Knowledge of analog signal acquisition and conditioning systems
* Knowledge in multiplexing and signal switching matrices
* Driving license
