Production Support Engineer - JUNIOR role at Airbus Defence and Space
Job Description
A position as a Production Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the ADS department. Responsibilities include supporting production activities related to MRTT conversion and coordinating a multifunctional team to achieve delivery goals with no pending works.
Responsibilities
* Support production activities related to MRTT conversion.
* Coordinate multifunctional team to achieve delivery goals without pending works.
* Ensure health and safety, FOD and housekeeping standards in the area.
* Achieve the required level of quality while reducing the cost of non-quality.
* Follow the schedule and pursue continuous improvement to reduce costs and lead time.
* Follow Job Cards instructions and MI tasks associated with continuous improvement.
* Organize tasks to achieve a high level of efficiency.
* Complete conversion tasks within the established budget and propose cost-reduction ideas where possible.
* Manage shop floor incidences and control their flow.
* Contribute to production excellence by managing and leading production tools.
* Contribute to staff development by increasing capabilities and skills.
* Work in double shift.
* Provide shop floor support to solve issues during manufacturing processes.
* Support the multifunctional team in problem solving and improvement processes.
* Maintain manufacturing structure and processes, associated documentation (work orders, technical instructions, job cards, etc.), and updated processes.
* Provide manufacturing feedback (KAIZEN, practical problem solving) and update documentation, technical solutions, improvement proposals and implementations.
* Support the department during aircraft conversion into MRTT, in particular disassembly and ensuring structural integrity.
* Maintain facilities in adequate order in compliance with HK, FOD and safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications
* Educated in an Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or related discipline.
* At least 2 years of experience in Production or Engineering Manufacturing.
* Experience in A330 / green aircraft / modified aircraft and tanker systems.
* Management of all personnel and facilities qualifications required by Airworthiness Authorities (civil and military).
* Language skills: English and Spanish at an advanced level.
* Knowledge in SIPLA, Digital Bar Chart, SNT, DEMAT, CATIA.
* Knowledge in planning systems is a plus.
* Experience in project and team management is a plus.
* Experience in managing people and conflicts.
* Team spirit, autonomous and willingness to learn.
* High adaptability to work on new topics and in a networked environment.
* Ability to propose new ideas: innovation, digitalization and continuous improvement.
* Team player with proactive mindset, strong interpersonal and communication skills;
listening and negotiation skills.
