We are currently seeking an experienced Head Sommelier to join COYA. This is a seasonal position with potential for future openings.
Requirements:
* Certified sommelier or equivalent, such as WSET Level 3, preferred
* Strong knowledge of French and New World wines, especially South and North American wines
* Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
* Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
* Ability to work under pressure
* Fluent in English and Spanish, with confident communication skills
* Passion for personal development and working with people
* Ability to compose wine lists that maximize guest satisfaction, profit, and recognition
* Experience in managing wine stocks, sales, and lists in line with company strategy
* Focus on meeting sales targets and managing stock rotation and profitability
* Establish and maintain relationships with wine suppliers
* Manage wine administration effectively to ensure organization and up-to-date records
