JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you interested in the startup world, innovation and business development? Would you like to learn how B2B sales work within the tech ecosystem and be surrounded by founders, investors, corporations and real innovative projects?

At Startup Valencia, we are looking for a SDR Intern to join the Business department and actively participate in the generation of commercial opportunities and strategic relationships with companies across the ecosystem.

We are not looking for someone to provide administrative support only. We are looking for someone with initiative, strong communication skills and a real desire to learn how business is built within one of Spain’s most active startup ecosystems.

This internship will allow you to understand how prospecting and B2B sales processes work, how relationships with potential clients are managed and how commercial opportunities are generated within the tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

You will work from Base2, located in La Marina de Valencia, a space where meetings with founders, investors, corporations, workshops, tech events and networking activities take place every week.

You will provide operational and commercial support to Startup Valencia’s Business department, actively participating in prospecting, contacting and qualifying potential clients, as well as generating commercial meetings for the sales team.

The position combines business development, lead qualification, database management and direct contact with companies from the tech ecosystem, offering strong exposure to the national and international entrepreneurial environment.

YOUR DAY TO DAY. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

1. Prospecting and generation of commercial opportunities

* Identify potential companies and strategic partners for Startup Valencia and VDS
* Research companies and detect collaboration opportunities
* Carry out outbound prospecting through LinkedIn, email and other tools
* Generate initial commercial conversations and schedule meetings for the Business team

2. Lead qualification and follow up

* Contact and qualify potential leads
* Carry out initial follow up on commercial opportunities
* Identify the needs and interest of potential clients
* Keep commercial and follow up information up to date

3. CRM and database management

* Update and maintain commercial databases
* Register commercial activity and contact follow up
* Organize strategic information about companies and potential clients
* Support the preparation of internal commercial reports

REQUIREMENTS

Education

* Business Administration
* International Business
* International Relations
* Sales and business development
* Related degrees or fields of study

Hard skills

* Good command of digital tools and LinkedIn
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage information
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Interest in sales, business development and B2B relationships
* Highly recommended: advanced level of English
* Valuable: basic knowledge of the startup and innovation ecosystem
* Valuable: previous experience in sales, customer service or business development
* Valuable: experience with CRM tools such as ActiveCampaign
