Job Description
We are looking for a Head of Risk to lead the Risk Management function for our new operations in Spain. This is a strategic role within a regulated entity (EMI), responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring all operational and financial risks.
This is a unique opportunity to build and lead the risk function from scratch, in a growing, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Risk Management function across all areas.
* Identify, assess, and monitor operational and financial risks.
* Implement risk frameworks, policies, and controls.
* Ensure compliance with all regulations applicable to EMIs and international payments.
* Collaborate with strategic teams to support business growth.
Requirements
* Minimum 4 years of experience in risk management within banking, payments, or regulated fintech .
* Strong knowledge of operational and financial risks, and regulatory environment (PSD2, EMI, etc.).
* Advanced English proficiency.
* Strategic leadership skills.
* Must be based in Madrid .
