Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Key Account Manager to join our team in Barcelona. This is a full-time hybrid role (on-site & remote) where you will be at the heart of our client success, driving impact across some of our most strategic accounts.
You will be the trusted partner to C-level stakeholders, owning the end-to-end client relationship, from strategy to execution. Your role will be pivotal in nurturing long-term partnerships, unlocking new business opportunities, and ensuring clients achieve measurable results through Merit’s engagement solutions.
What you’ll do:
* Own and grow a portfolio of strategic, high-value client accounts across multiple regions.
* Develop, lead, and execute account strategies that maximize client ROI and satisfaction.
* Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, building board-level trust and credibility.
* Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities, driving revenue growth.
* Lead contract negotiations and commercial discussions with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach.
* Collaborate with internal teams (tech, product, partnerships, operations) to ensure flawless delivery.
* Monitor account health and performance through data-driven insights, presenting outcomes and opportunities.
* Conduct market and competitor research to anticipate client needs and influence strategy.
* Represent Merit at industry events, client workshops, and executive briefings.
Qualifications
* 5+ years’ experience in Key Account Management, Client Relationship Management, or Business Development (preferably in SaaS, technology, fintech, or loyalty/engagement industries).
* Proven track record of managing large, complex, and multinational accounts.
* Strong negotiation skills with experience structuring high-value commercial agreements.
* Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
* Advanced proficiency in CRM platforms and MS Office Suite; familiarity with SaaS platforms is a plus.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid environment with global cross-functional collaboration.
* Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
* Master’s degree from a leading Business School highly desirable.
* Fluency in English is essential; additional languages (Spanish, Arabic, French) are a strong plus.
