Job Overview
NOC (Network Operation Center) is the centralized command and control center for Transportation Execution across Amazon’s supply chain, ensuring timely pick‑up and delivery of freight and resolving exceptions. In this role, a Program Manager will coordinate cross‑functional initiatives, use data to drive efficiencies, implement process changes, and oversee project execution.
Responsibilities
* Identify pain points with supply chain execution, transportation, fulfillment centers, carriers, and other Amazon teams, and scope large, high‑impact projects.
* Lead cost‑benefit analysis and make go/no‑go decisions on initiatives.
* Develop and execute detailed plans and timelines once a project is approved.
* Create roadmaps, define metrics, and track progress; produce regular reports for leadership.
* Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and remove project bottlenecks.
* Work with technology teams to scope, design, and implement necessary tech changes.
* Serve as a single-threaded owner, ensuring projects achieve their financial or other impact goals.
* Use data analytics (Excel, SQL, R/Python) to measure performance, influence decisions, and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
* Communicate complex analyses in an understandable way, both written and verbally.
* Manage a small operations team (3–10 staff) to design and publish relevant reports.
Basic Qualifications
* Japanese language proficiency at business level or above (N1+).
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
* Experience working with large data sets and technical tools.
* Excellent project‑management skills and clear communication.
* Ability to influence stakeholders without authority.
* Comfortable with ambiguity and independent decision making.
* Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Linguistics, or related field.
* Proficiency in English.
