Job Purpose
The primary role of the Senior Pricing Specialist is to lead the growth, management, and optimization of revenue through strategic pricing initiatives, including short-term tactics and long-term projects. As a member of the Pricing and Analytics team, your focus will be on the operational part of the pricing ecosystem, from execution to automation of tools and processes.
The Pricing Specialist will be responsible for loading fare structures and other elements (e.g., airport taxes and fees) into our distribution systems to be displayed across all VY channels (Web, Mobile, GDS, etc.). This role requires close cooperation with colleagues from other teams within the Commercial department, particularly Revenue Management Systems and Inventory, as well as departments like Marketing, Digital, IT Solutions, Legal, Data, Distribution, Ancillaries, and Sales.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure periodic fare structure reviews to align with Vueling’s product value proposition.
* Advise on revenue best practices, including promotions, private fares campaigns, TTOO, and group pricing.
* Define policies for interlining with partner carriers (SPAs) and load fares of codeshare partners within the IAG group (IB, BA).
* Assist with key pricing projects, providing quick responses to competitor actions and market changes.
* Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement by analyzing key performance indicators.
* Ensure adherence to Pricing Policy guidelines, updating them as necessary.
Education
University degree in quantitative methods, econometrics, business economics, or related fields.
Experience
* Experience with mathematical software, databases, and business intelligence tools (Excel, Alteryx, R, Tableau, Power BI, SAP BO, etc.).
* Experience with Navitaire (SkyFare, SkySpeed, Utilities) and AirRM is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to think globally and act for the collective.
* Experience in a multinational environment is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Enthusiasm for aviation is welcome!
