Pinnacle Travel Group (PTG) is seeking the services of a full time suitably skilled Desktop Support Officer (Level 2) to join our team in Malaga.

The Role:

Predominantly based in our office in Malaga, the successful applicant will join our creative and supportive IT team to provide desktop support to All Staff, Company Directors and Managers in the organisation, Reporting to the Director of ICT & Marketing. Occasional travel to other sites within the organisation may be required, including Barrack Street Jetty, Lancelin, Hillarys Harbour, Broome, & Rottnest Island.

Responsibility 1: Desktop Support

Respond to help desk requests.

Troubleshooting and assessing software, hardware and networking issues

Answering and prioritising incoming phone, email and face to face requests

Deployment of software/hardware including configuration

General network, hardware maintenance and upgrades

Lead users through diagnostic procedures as well as educate and instruct end users on various application and hardware issues

Escalating requests where necessary and recording outcomes

Assist in maintenance of software and hardware including network devices across the entire business

Install and configure hardware and software

Record, track, and document the help desk request problem solving process including actions taken through to the final resolution

Respond in timely manner to requests and issues

Repair and replace equipment as needed

Provide onsite and remote support to end users

Assist in AV setups as needed for meetings

Assist new hire training for basic IT needs.

Set up new workstations for users (deploying equipment, checking over account setups).

Heavy use of Windows and Mac OS devices

Ability to work in Active Directory

Understanding of basic network configuration including WIFI

Test new technology

Create documentation for staff for training purposes

Responsibility 2: Reporting

Regular Updates and Meetings with the Director of ICT and Marketing

Maintain ICT related knowledgebase and documentations.

Cert IV in Information Technology essential

At least 1-2 years recent industry experience in systems integration or in similar role

Experience in CISCO Switches, Routers, ADSL, WatchGuard and VoIP skills highly desirable

Experience with Windows Operating Systems

Active Directory and Exchange system administration essential

Ability to work unassisted with minimal additional training

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong trouble shooting and communication skills (able to talk in no-technical terms
