Job Title: Director / Senior Director, Business Development – Europe
Location: Europe (Remote)
Responsibilities
* Responsible for driving new business across Europe, working closely with the existing leadership team to build strategic partnerships and win new clients
* Lead high-value business development activity across the region, ensuring strong commercial execution, market visibility, and alignment with the wider organisation
* Collaborate heavily with senior leadership to develop and implement a robust commercial strategy focused on technology partnering across drug discovery
* Support delivery against commercial targets by maintaining an active pipeline and identifying new growth opportunities across key European biotech and pharma markets
* Build and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring consistent communication, regular client engagement, and positioning the business as a strategic technology partner rather than a traditional CRO
Requirements
* Must have business development experience within AI/ML-enabled drug discovery, computational chemistry, or technology-led discovery platforms, with existing customer relationships
* Must have a proven track record of high-profile lead generation, closing deals, and building strategic commercial partnerships
* Must be able to position a company as a technology partner within drug discovery, rather than a traditional fee-for-service CRO
* Background in small molecule discovery, platform-based partnering, or advanced technology-enabled research services is highly advantageous
* Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or similar educational background; a PhD is a plus
