Position Overview
Zynga is searching for a world-class Senior 3D Character Artist to join a dynamic, growing team! As a Senior 3D Artist, you will be expected to create high-quality 3D assets quickly and effectively. You’ll have a strong understanding of artistic fundamentals, both 2D and 3D, and have a passion for character-focused art.

Main Responsibilities
1. Create high quality 3D character art quickly and effectively.
2. Interpret specs and direction both from design and the Art Director.
3. Identify inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement within the creative process.
4. Accurately cost art requests.
5. Take an active role in maintaining and refining the Art Director’s vision.
6. Research, explore, and communicate best practices in art.
7. Contribute to formal and informal critique, and provide effective feedback to other artists.
8. Effectively communicate progress to the team in North America.
Desired Skills and Experience
9. 5+ years of professional video games experience
10. Strong understanding of 3D character pipeline:
11. High-poly modeling in zbrush
12. Low-poly modeling in Maya (mobile ready)
13. UV unwrapping
14. Texture baking in Substance Painter or Marmoset
15. Substance Painter for texture creation
16. Modeling for proper deformations
17. Optimizing for mobile
18. Strong Art Fundamentals and an excellent eye for – Character design, color theory, lighting, shape, and form
19. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
20. Strong attention to detail.
21. Excellent grammatical skills and the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with English speaking team mates
22. Battle Royale, Moba, or Shooter experience is a plus
