The selected construction coordinator will have to carry out the following main tasks:
- Oversee the construction activities related to structural, mechanical, piping and pipeline work packages and minor E&I; scope.
- Provide assistance to the Project manager and Project engineer reviewing the construction documentation submitted by the Contractors (Approved for construction drawings such as ISOs, P&IDs;, Construction procedures/method statements, execution plan and schedule); provide technical construction assistance for timely resolution of technical construction issues and quality anomalies/non conformity arisen at site.
- Make sure that the project quality plan and relevant Inspection Test Plan are implemented during construction and the relevant quality control reports are issued.
- Coordinate contractors pre-commissioning activities and guarantee that the mechanical completion is achieved on time, with no punch list items affecting the commissioning and ready for start-up activities.
- Coordinate with the site HSE management team for a safe delivery of the work.
- Coordinate with Plant Production Manager and Contractors of different work packages to allow a smooth execution of the works avoiding any critical simultaneous operation.
- Participate to HSE Coordination meeting and manage the emission and approval of work permits.
What do you need to succeed?
- Minimum 5 years experience in construction coordination activities for piping and mechanical work packages.
- Knowledge of: industrial plant, production processes of industrial gases, Spanish norms and regulations about site construction works and safety, and Permit to works procedures.
- Conversant with industrial plant standards (e.g. API, ASME, PED, etc ).
- Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
