OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail‐oriented individual to join our International Project Execution team as a Deputy Project Manager, with a special focus on claims and quantity surveying related issues. In this role, you will support the Project Manager(s) across all functions, ensuring project delivery and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Contract Management & Claim Management
Identify, drive, defend and reduce claims timely
Fulfill contracts and close projects according to contractual and internal regulations
Negotiate with subcontractors/partners and enter into compensation agreements
Define strategies to enforce, reduce or defend claims with stakeholders
Involve the project team in identifying changes and claims
Evaluate contracts for claim relevance and ensure legal review
Implement strategies to enforce or reduce claims
Project Organization and Management
Ensure that all plan elements (system structure, WBS, etc.) are considered in the sales / project initiation phase
Handle all PM@Siemens plan elements and milestone results per project category
Prepare and maintain the Siemens project management plan
Manage the project within defined financial targets (budget, target costing, target profit)
Optimize project profitability and ensure business success
Implement procedures to resolve questions and problems with relevant partners
Ensure procurement activities comply with processes and regulations
Monitor subcontractor performance, escalating issues and initiating measures as needed
Support the Project Manager at review meetings and organise milestone prerequisites
Manage acceptance of supplies and services following quality checks
Document all work results in line with applicable standards
Stakeholder Management
Ensure efficient communication with all stakeholders
Negotiate changes and incorporate them into contracts
Strengthen customer relations and market position
Collect information on customer requirements and goals
Involve customers in decision‐making and provide regular updates
Project Controlling and Reporting
Continuously monitor project status and identify non‐conformities
Review schedules and progress reports to detect risks or deviations
Minimise non‐compliance costs
Notify customers, management and project team early in case of non‐conformities
Opportunity and Risk Management
Identify and assess risk factors using available tools throughout the project
Develop strategies to minimise or eliminate risks
Ensure all risks are monitored (including compliance)
Identify opportunities for further business with partners
Collaborate with line experts to exploit opportunities
Communicate cross‐organisational opportunities for improvement
Create additional opportunities from ongoing projects
Ensure risks are monitored in all project phases
Assess risks and define measures, with timely escalation
Consider risk survey results in contracts and calculations
Review drawings, specifications and design docs for risk insights
Acquisition and Order Negotiation
Participate in sales / project initiation phase, analysing customer requirements and feasibility
Carry out or attend contract negotiations
Experience & Knowledge Required
Education: Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or related field (additional certifications in project and claim management are advantageous)
Experience: Minimum 7 years in project execution, preferably in rail transport or construction, with ability to interpret technical, commercial and contractual data for decision‐making
Global experience working with customers, partners and providers in multicultural projects
Familiarity with FIDIC or other standard contract forms; strong understanding of claims in design‐build or turnkey contracts
Language skills: Excellent command of English; Spanish an advantage
Software skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of planning software (Primavera P6, MProject) is a plus
Accreditations: RICS, CIArb, PMP or similar are preferable
Flexibility: Willingness to travel as required
