Integral Category Manager: Road Freight & Warehousing – Logistics (m/f/d)TK Elevator is seeking the Global Category Manager for Road Freight & Warehousing in Logistics.
This role leads sourcing, contracting, and supplier management for road freight (FTL, LTL), express/parcel (CEP), and warehousing on a global and regional basis.What We ExpectStrategic Sourcing & Tender ManagementLead global and regional tenders for Road Freight (FTL, LTL), CEP, and Warehousing.Standardize contracts, SLAs, and KPI frameworks across the organization.Analyze tender data and cost models to build business cases and recommend awards.Drive sourcing and negotiation for major strategic projects (e.g., KSA DC 3PL selection).
Stakeholder Engagement & AlignmentServe as SME for road freight and warehousing, aligning regional teams with global strategy.Partner with regional PSM and operations to understand local needs and promote scalable, cost-effective solutions.Collaborate with Manufacturing and Field teams to ensure service fit.Facilitate workshops to map processes, identify best practices, and drive change.Category Strategy & Supplier ManagementDevelop and refine the global category strategy for transport and warehousing.Manage key relationships with global/regional 3PLs and carriers.Lead QBRs to track performance, reduce costs, and foster innovation.TMS & WMS ImplementationLead end-to-end TMS implementation projects, from scoping to go-live.Optimize TMS/WMS operations for automation and performance.Translate business needs into technical solutions, working closely with IT and vendors.What we are looking forBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in logistics, with a strong focus on strategic procurement of road freight and warehousing/contract logistics in a large, multinational organization.Mandatory, hands-on experience running complex tenders for multi-site 3PL/contract logistics and multi-regional road freight.Deep understanding of transport and warehousing cost models, market dynamics, and leading providers in TKE's key regions (Europe and North America are a must).
Experience with network design and optimization tools is highly desirable.Advanced analytical skills, with high proficiency in Excel for network and cost modeling.Experience with e-sourcing platforms and knowledge of TMS and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
