Role Overview
As Commercial & CVM Lead, Spain, you will be responsible for the end-to-end Commercial & CVM agenda for Spain across Casino and Sports and lead the local execution of Poker CVM in-market in collaboration with the PokerStars Network. Leading a team of market experts, you will set the country roadmap, drive customer strategy, deliver commercially impactful plans, and ensure our communications and content land with Spanish customers, on time, on brand, and on target.
You’ll be the go-to owner for turning business goals into market-leading propositions, promotional plans, lifecycle journeys, and customer contact strategy, balancing performance, customer value, and regulatory requirements in one of our most competitive regulated markets.
Why We Need You: Spain needs a single accountable leader to connect the dots across Commercial Planning & CVM (Casino & Sports) while ensuring Poker CVM execution is delivered magnificently and in line with network direction. Building on the podium mentality that we already apply in Spain Casino, you’ll scale this into an integrated country approach across products and customer touchpoints.
What You’ll Do
* Country roadmap, proposition & commercial ownership
* Own Spain’s commercial strategy and execution roadmap across Poker, Casino and Sports, aligning product, proposition, payout/pricing levers, and commercial priorities.
* Define and lead value proposition ownership for Spain (what we offer, why we win, where we invest).
* Watch market trends and competitor performance; translate insights into prioritized roadmap decisions and measurable commercial plans.
* Own and govern Spain’s commercial investment/offset approach
* Local CVM strategy & performance delivery
* Translate commercial goals into customer strategy, including segmentation, lifecycle design, and country-specific targeting.
* Define and own Customer Contact Strategy (channels, frequency, tone of voice, compliance), ensuring consistent delivery across touchpoints.
* Set up and run promotional and lifecycle initiatives to drive awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention.
* Own performance management for CVM initiatives: important metrics, post-campaign reviews, optimization cycles, and ongoing improvement.
* Poker CVM execution
* Lead Spain’s execution of Poker CVM plans (campaigns, journeys, communications), ensuring delivery is compliant, accurate, and player ready.
* Partner closely with PokerStars Network / central teams to ensure Spain execution aligns to network direction, calendar moments, and proposition intent.
* Ensure operational excellence: briefs, testing, QA, timelines, stakeholder signoffs, and clean reporting.
* Customer communications & content management
* Supervise customer comms planning and execution across channels (email, push, in-app, SMS), including calendar governance and brand consistency.
* Partner with Marketing for localization and optimization of site and promotional content (including creative and video assets partnering with Marketing teams), ensuring it resonates with Spanish audiences and supports acquisition, conversion, and cross-sell.
* Drive experimentation and iteration on UX/UI content surfaces in partnership with relevant teams (with a pragmatic “test, learn, ship” rhythm).
* Leadership & cross-functional governance
* Lead and develop a mid-sized team, setting clear ownership, high standards, and a strong performance attitude.
* Act as Spain’s senior Commercial & CVM person across Product, Brand, Analytics, Operations, Compliance and Customer teams.
* Provide clear, structured updates and recommendations to senior leaders and collaborators.
What You’ll Bring
* Strong experience in iGaming Commercial Planning and/or CVM (multi-vertical experience across Casino/Sports is a major plus).
* Demonstrable experience to build and implement country strategies that drive measurable growth (not just nice decks).
* Excellent understanding of segmentation, lifecycle marketing, promotional mechanics, and customer contact strategy.
* Comfortable owning investment/offset thinking, prioritisation, and ROI trade-offs in a competitive market.
* Strong leadership experience leading teams and stakeholders across a matrixed organisation.
* Fluent Spanish and strong English (you’ll need both, often in the same meeting).
