About BSC: The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC‑CNS) is Spain’s leading supercomputing centre. It hosts MareNostrum, one of Europe’s most powerful supercomputers, and serves as a host for the European HPC infrastructure PRACE and the current EuroHPC JU. BSC’s mission is to research, develop and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. The centre combines HPC service provision with R&D; in computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering) and employs over 1000 staff from 60 countries.

Context and Mission
The AI Factories project is a European initiative aimed at strengthening Europe’s leadership in Artificial Intelligence. It supports the development of advanced AI applications by providing high‑performance computing resources, datasets, models and training pipelines. The project fosters collaboration between industry, finance, SMEs, universities and supercomputing centres. BSC will serve as a hub where researchers, start‑ups and institutions can access specialised infrastructure and expertise to accelerate AI innovation.
Key Duties
- Support access to data sources, models, code bases and training pipelines.
- Mentor and train project participants on technical and scientific aspects of model development.
- Assist in the deployment, maintenance and scaling of AI models and in the usage of execution and monitoring services on HPC infrastructures.
- Contribute to the technical documentation, training materials and dissemination activities related to the project.
- Ensure that the services and resources provided meet standards of quality and ethics.
Requirements
- Education
- Degree in STEM, preferably MSc in Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Experience in a research‑oriented position.
- Experience in writing technical documentation.
- Experience in consulting in Artificial Intelligence.
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Fluent English and Spanish are required; Catalan is desirable.
- Experience in consulting in software engineering.
- Experience in consulting in MLOps.
- Competences
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments.
Conditions
- Position located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department.
- Full‑time contract (37.5 h/week) in a versátil, state‑of‑the‑art environment. Includes extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance and relocation support.
- Duration: 3 years.
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per collective agreement.
- Salary: competitive and commensurate with qualifications and local cost of living.
- Starting date: pending.

Recruitment Process
- Curriculum Analysis: 40 points.
- Interview phase: 60 points. A minimum of 30 points is required to proceed.
- Interview panel: at least three members with 25 % representation of women.
- Each candidate receives feedback after the interview stage.
