Job Purpose And Impactbr/strong
The Trade Compliance Sr.
Analyst will ensure that Cargill's import and export activities comply with all applicable international trade regulations and standards, with a focus on customs classification.
This role involves accurately classifying goods using the Harmonized System (HS), maintaining robust documentation, and mitigating risks associated with misclassification.
The analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders and leverage trade compliance systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and audit readiness.brstrong

Key Accountabilitiesbr/strongulli
Accurately classify goods using the Harmonized System (HS) and other relevant classification systems in compliance with international trade regulations. /lili
Interpret and apply complex classification rules, including General Rules of Interpretation (GRIs), explanatory notes, and binding rulings. /lili
Maintain comprehensive and auditable classification records, including supporting documentation and rationale for decisions. /lili
Monitor and assess changes in classification rules and customs regulations and communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders. /lili
Maintain and update trade compliance documents and procedures, monitor compliance of processes according to regulatory standards, assess risks, and execute and monitor controls, perform impact analysis coming from regulatory updates impacting Cargill cross border operations. /lili
Collaborate with internal teams such as logistics, procurement, and legal to ensure consistent and compliant classification practices. /lili
Provide training and guidance on customs classification to internal teams and support the development of classification expertise across the organization. /lili
Conduct internal audits and reviews of classification processes to identify gaps and implement corrective actions. /lili
Utilize general trade management systems (e.g., SAP GTS) to manage and streamline classification workflows. /lili

Qualificationsbr/strongstrong
Minimum Qualificationsbr/strongulli
Minimum 2 years of experience in customs or trade compliance, with a focus on a classification. /lili
Ability to interpret customs specifications and classifications rulings. /lili
Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. /lili
Fluent English, both written and spoken.br/li /ulstrong
Preferred Qualificationsbr/strongulli
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (economic, logistic, financial) or equivalent experience. /lili
Strong analytical and decision-making skills. /lili
Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade documentation. /lili
Experience managing SAP GTS.br/li /ulstrong
