Bureau Technical Services (BTS) is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a major data centre project in Zaragoza, Spain.

This position will support the planning, scheduling, coordination and execution of full lifecycle commissioning activities across critical data centre facilities. It will also involve participation in the MEP design process, witnessing static and dynamic testing of complex electrical and control systems, and supporting systems through normal operation, maintenance and failure mode testing.

Support the full commissioning lifecycle across mission critical facilitiesParticipate in the MEP design and commissioning processWitness and support static and dynamic testing of complex electrical and control systemsAssist with operating systems in normal, maintenance and failure modesCarry out commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of critical electrical systems and subsystemsSupport FAT, SAT, IST and commissioning activities across the project lifecycle
Requirements:
~ Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience~ Experience in installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical distribution systems~ Strong knowledge of HV / MV / LV systems within mission critical environments~ Experience with transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS and STS systems~ Knowledge of electrical protection systems and power distribution infrastructure~ Experience with EPMS, SCADA, PLC or other control and instrumentation systems~ Ability to interpret raw electrical signal data and xhfqzwm waveforms~ Knowledge of networks and communication systems such as BACnet, Modbus and Ethernet~ Experience within mission critical facilities / data centres~3+ years of commissioning experience~3+ years of data centre experience~ Right to work in Spain / EU work authorisation required
Desirable Experience:
Exposure to L2–L5 commissioning activitiesExperience with Integrated Systems Testing (IST)Hands-on commissioning and fault-finding experienceKnowledge of load bank testing and electrical infrastructure testing procedures
