Descripción del trabajoAt DHL Freight Spain, we are recruiting a CFO who will be responsible for the Iberian Peninsula, with the aim of contributing to design and lead the implementation of finance strategy in the country to maintain short and long-term financial health, and partner, advise and challenge the management team in line with country business strategy, financial policies, legal framework and accounting standards.
Main Accountabilities
Craft comprehensive strategy and, lead as line and budget manager for finance function with higher focus on operational finance activities of the country
Contribute to the definition of the Finance strategy for a medium to large country including all financial management services (Controlling as well as Accounting side), planning, analysis, reporting and budgets considering country business strategy, financial policies, legal framework and accounting standards
Lead, plan, organize and deliver Finance initiatives, services and processes related to two or more of the Finance Job Families (e.g. a combination of RTR, PTP and Controlling activities) to achieve financial transparency, maintain short and long-term financial health, and advise the management team
Provide guidance and consulting on financial matters to senior business team, drawing on specialist colleagues as needed
Ensure financial service delivery, process improvement, implementation of financial changes
Resolve complex and more difficult finance issues such as adjusting for taxes, VAT, varying local legal requirements, etc.
Review and analyse monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget.
Manage financial planning and analysis department. Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting.
Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial procedures.
Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.
Maintain vendor / service relationship and service level agreements with specific business unit / partner for various financial services
Develop and implement improvements in existing financial processes, systems and methods for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency
Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial procedures.
Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.
Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors. Manage preparation and support of all internal and external audits.
Ensure accomplishment of DHL Compliance Policy
Functional Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in Operations/Freight/Logistics area accompanied with a wide experience at senior level (Desirable)
Work experience as CFO previously in a multinational company (Desirable)
Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related subjects.(Essential)
Work experience in financial management for at least 5 years (Essential)
Work experience in Finance department in other countries (Desirable)
Education / Qualification / Certification
University degree in a business discipline (Essential)
MBA degree (Desirable)
Compliance Training (Essential)
Training on Projects Management (Desirable)
Language Requirements
Spanish - Fluent (written and spoken)
English - Fluent (written and spoken)
German/Portuguese/Other languages - Basic Level (written and spoken) (Desirable)
