Position: Laboratory Manager
Job Objective: Responsible for accurately weighing synthetic and natural aromatic chemicals, oils, and powders according to formulations, following company SOPs and health & safety guidelines, focusing on fragrance manufacturing processes, solutions, and sample bases.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Prepare formulas as indicated in BMS.
* Package finished formulas in appropriate containers as instructed.
* Ensure proper labeling of final containers.
* Meet daily productivity targets (KPIs).
* Maintain stock of laboratory consumables (pipettes, gloves, bottles, etc.).
Safety and Health:
* Comply with CPL's internal safety and health regulations.
* Use work clothing and PPE correctly.
* Immediately report any incidents or hazards in the work area.
Quality Control Management:
* Report any errors or anomalies, such as physical-chemical changes.
* Request QC validation of prepared bases before use.
Maintain Equipment:
* Keep all equipment clean at all times.
* Verify balance calibration daily.
Inventory Management:
* Ensure raw materials are available and request replenishment if needed.
* Update stock deductions in D365 accordingly.
System Handling:
* Use BMS for formula manufacturing, intranet for stock and pending production queries, and D365 for stock management.
* Interact with Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word for communication and documentation.
Skills and Attributes:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Organizational and proactive task management skills.
* Precision and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure.
Training:
* Technical or professional qualification in chemistry or similar (minimum middle degree).
Professional Experience:
* 1-2 years of laboratory experience or internships.
* Experience handling chemicals and laboratory equipment (desirable).
* Experience in industrial manufacturing (desirable).
Other Requirements:
* High proficiency in Spanish (C1-C2).
* Intermediate English skills (B1-B2) (desirable).
* Strong arithmetic skills.
* Knowledge of safety and environmental standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Flexibility to work morning and afternoon shifts.
