Please note that this role is based in Spain. To enable us to meet the statutory and regulatory obligations of the Spanish immigration system, you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in Spain for the duration of the employment.

The Senior Marketing Manager develops and oversees the Marketing strategy for content distribution across Home Entertainment and TV Distribution within the Iberia territories.

This is a great opportunity to develop a streamlined, commercial and innovative Marketing strategy for Content Distribution across the Feature Film and TV content product lifecycle (Transactional, FTA, Pay & Basic, SVOD, AVOD) that will be implemented across markets to best deliver for SPE's consumers, partners and key internal stakeholders.

Based in our Madrid office, the key focus will be working alongside research, the commercial leads and the Digital Sales Director to develop and implement Marketing and Branding initiatives which ensure all Feature Films and TV series contents are being optimised both commercially and creatively across all distribution windows and formats, while building and maintaining positive marketing relationships with all clients in regions.

What you'll do:

* Work closely with the Commercial and Research teams to create a company culture in which the Marketing team operates hand in hand with all teams and is proactive, consistent, efficient, nimble, strategic, forward-thinking, communicative, transparent, inclusive, and commercially minded.
* Drive the Marketing strategy across Home Entertainment, TV Distribution, maximising content sales and home entertainment transactions across the region through innovative Marketing activity.
* Full accountability for defining the studio's annual feature film and TV series Marketing and product release strategy for all commercial exploitations outside the theatrical window, incorporating all key marketing disciplines – ATL, BTL, PR, social activation.
* Key point of contact for SVP Marketing + Research EMEA, providing clear, consistent territory information and communication that align with regional strategy.
* Drive and implement regionally supported strategies to maximise content sales across all exploitation Windows.
* Develop and execute publicity and promotional campaigns across the content slate and ensure there is close collaboration with the SPT PR team to deliver seamless broadcast campaigns for SPT's key shows within the territory.
* Oversee trade presentations, pre-sales events, customer events and internal showcases and events to ensure we are communicating a consistent and positive message both internally and externally.
* Own and drive a proactive pre-sales marketing approach for all New, Returning and Priority TV Series, proposing creative ideas and tactics that could be implemented across the markets.
* Define the right level of investment on performance paid media to support transactional releases, using our established media relationships as well as Amazon programmatic DSP. Maximize results and socialise best practices and learnings.
* Champion Sony en Casa Project, a CRM and content strategy initiative to generate 1st party data for Sony Pictures Television and Home Entertainment verticals
* Oversee all social media agency activities, conversation calendar, influencer outreach, monthly reports and special activations.
* Act as a close business partner for all TV distribution and Networks clients in territory positioning Sony as the go to partner for close collaboration.
* Align with the theatrical distribution team in the region to facilitate information and assets to the relevant distribution teams.
* In line with broader business objectives, set strategic direction and consistent, clear & commercially grounded objectives to the Iberia Marketing Executive.
* Maintain full P&L ownership and oversee Marketing budget across all lines of business.
* Have a concerted strategic intent on driving Pay and Free TV relationships in the region, driving pitches through insights, partnership and content requirements to deliver more from every deal.
* Act as a close business partner for all TV distribution clients in territory positioning Sony as the go-to partner for close collaboration and partnership.
* Accountability for the territories' marketing efforts towards internal Catalogue Growth Initiative (CGI) goals, working alongside LA partners and the regional steering committee.

Communication & stakeholder management

* Coordinate and partner with the Central Marketing Team in LA to ensure a consistent approach and strategy across content and projects.
* Build strategic alliances with major multi-territory broadcasters, platform operators, Digital Retailers, Advertising sales partners, Media Agencies and Brands to develop 360 marketing partnerships and initiatives across the slate.
* Work with the research and insight teams to develop a close audience understanding and understand how to use and interrogate data to enable the most effective pitches and partnerships with clients. Ensure industry insight, future trends and competitor tracking are utilized to drive new innovative marketing solutions across releases.
* Lead the Marketing Team's One Sony activities working with Electronics, PlayStation, Music, Crunchyroll and others to maximize our combined reach as a consumer-facing company.

What you have:

* Typically 7+ years of experience in strategic Marketing preferably in the entertainment sector
* Good knowledge of the broadcast sector and various media's
* Proven track record in delivering creative, innovative and commercial marketing campaigns in a complex, multi-faceted environment
* Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects in a dynamic/changing environment and seeing those projects through to completion
* Demonstrated success in devising and executing strategic marketing objectives and cascading these objectives
* Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade others
* Strong interpersonal skills required and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
* Self-motivated team player and facilitator
* Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
* Availability to travel as necessary
