Job PurposeThe Floor Manager serves as a key operational leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day Front of House and Back of House execution during service. Reporting directly to the General Manager (GM) or Assistant General Manager (AGM), this role ensures seamless guest experiences, team accountability, and adherence to company standards.
The Floor Manager acts as the primary supervisor on the floor, driving hospitality excellence, maintaining service flow, supporting revenue objectives, and reinforcing safety and compliance standards across all departments.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead FOH and BOH teams during service to ensure efficient, coordinated operations
Monitor guest experience in real time and resolve escalated concerns with professionalism and urgency
Enforce company standards related to service, cleanliness, food quality, beverage execution, and brand presentation
Manage floor flow including seating, wait times, course pacing, and bar operations
Coach and support team members to maintain high performance and accountability
Partner with culinary leadership to ensure ticket times, food quality, and safety standards are met
Ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations and company responsible beverage policies
Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and shift reporting
Monitor labor deployment and adjust staffing on shift to align with volume and revenue goals
Uphold all safety, sanitation, and workplace policies
Qualifications
2+ years of restaurant, hospitality, or high-volume entertainment venue management experience
Proven ability to lead cross‐functional teams in fast‐paced environments
Strong working knowledge of FOH and BOH operations
Experience managing guest recovery and conflict resolution
Understanding of inventory controls, cash handling, and labor management principles
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to remain composed and decisive under pressure
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holiday.
Preferred
Experience in nightlife, upscale casual, or experiential entertainment venues
Food safety and alcohol service certifications (as required by state/local law)
Working Conditions
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
Frequent movement throughout venue including dining areas, bar, kitchen, and entertainment spaces
Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds as needed
Exposure to loud music, crowds, and a high-energy nightlife atmosphere
