We are looking for an
AI Ontologist
to support the development and maintenance of ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge models that enhance our Artificial Intelligence systems.
What would your duties be?
Knowledge Modeling & Management
* Contribute to the design and maintenance of ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies.
* Implement semantic structures and participate in the development of knowledge graphs.
* Assist in documenting and standardizing concepts, relationships, and metadata.
AI System Integration
* Work with Machine Learning and Data Engineering teams to integrate ontologies into AI systems, RAG pipelines, and semantic search capabilities.
* Support the setup and refinement of knowledge structures used by AI models.
* Help ensure consistency and alignment between semantic models and data sources.
Knowledge Quality & Governance
* Run quality checks to maintain coherence and accuracy of ontologies.
* Contributes to the definition of modeling standards and documentation processes.
* Help resolve conceptual inconsistencies or ambiguities in data or knowledge structures.
Collaboration with Business & Domain Experts
* Gather domain knowledge from subject‑matter experts and assist in translating it into conceptual models.
* Support semantic requirements for AI initiatives and products.
* Participate in workshops or sessions to refine terminology and structure.
Which are the requirements for this position?
* Degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Philosophy, Artificial Intelligence, Information Science, or a related field.
* Experience or coursework related to ontology modeling, semantic technologies, or knowledge representation.
* Familiarity with AI/NLP tools or data environments.
* Understanding of semantic standards (OWL, RDF, SKOS).
* Basic experience with SPARQL or similar querying tools.
* Familiarity with ontology editors such as Protégé.
* Understanding of concepts related to generative AI, embeddings, or semantic search.
* Basic knowledge of data modeling.
