DIGITAL IC VERIFICATION ENGINEER
Responsibilities:
- Develops testbenches (often using SystemVerilog and UVM), writes test cases, simulating,
debugging, and analyzing functional coverage to catch bugs early.
- Focuses on validating IP, subsystems, and SoCs, using tools from Cadence/Synopsys, and
scripting (Python/TCL) for automation, bridging the gap between RTL design and silicon,
ensuring reliability and performance.
Professional Experience:
- 5+ year experience as a Digital IC Verification Engineer: he/she ensures that complex
integrated circuits (ICs) and System-on-Chips (SoCs) function correctly according to design
specifications before they are sent for fabrication (tape-out).
-Languages: Expert proficiency in System Verilog (preferred for its object-oriented features)
and Verilog/VHDL.
- Methodologies: Mastery of UVM is the industry standard for most verification profiles.
-Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Perl, or Tcl to automate verification flows and maintain tools.
-Tools: Hands-on experience with EDA tools from Synopsys (VCS, Verdi), Cadence (Xcelium), or
Siemens EDA (Questa).
- Protocols: Knowledge of standard communication protocols like AMBA (AXI/AHB/APB), PCIe,
USB, or I2C/SPI.
