Project Director – Hydrogen Plant (EPC)

Location: Engineering in Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia) | Construction in Spain (Bilbao)
Start Date: September 2025
Duration: 30 months (2-1/2 years)
We are looking for a seasoned Project Director EPC to lead the engineering, procurement, and construction of a large-scale hydrogen plant in Europe. This is a full-cycle project role – from early engineering to successful commissioning – with an international, multidisciplinary team and high visibility.
Your Responsibilities:
You will lead the full EPC lifecycle of the project, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline targets are met. With a hands-on approach, you identify cross-functional opportunities during engineering to improve constructability and project margin. You act as the central point for all stakeholders, proactively managing risks, resources, and communication across the project.
Your Profile:
10 years of professional experience in managing international large-scale EPC projects (>€100 million)
Proven leadership skills in managing, developing, and motivating multidisciplinary international project teams
Strong problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and process optimization skills
Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of project management methodologies
Hands-on mentality with a focus on execution and results
Willingness to travel and work on-site in both Germany (Engineering phase - 12 months) and Spain (Construction phase - 18 months)
Technical Skills:
Proficient in MS Project and/or Primavera P6
Experience with document management systems (e.g. ProArc, PIRS)
Solid working knowledge of SAP
