The Accommodation Consultant (AC) will work directly with employees and senior leadership to provide accommodations. The AC will serve as the primary contact for employees throughout the accommodation and workplace adjustments process. This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a customer service focus aligned with Amazon's standards.
Key job responsibilities
* Perform accommodation reviews to ensure compliance and support employee requests for safe and productive workplace adjustments.
* Serve as a subject matter expert on the accommodations process and relevant provincial and federal disability laws.
* Coordinate the accommodation process and manage cases end-to-end.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to determine and finalize approval or denial of accommodations.
* Work with leave of absence case managers.
* Communicate accommodation decisions, disseminate the Job Accommodation Record (JAR) to employees, and partner with stakeholders for implementation.
* Educate employees and HR on complex aspects of return-to-work, accommodations, and case processes.
* Guide employees to appropriate resources for answers.
* Maintain a high volume of cases.
* Ensure accurate and timely documentation by maintaining system records.
* Provide training to employees, managers, HR, and others within DLS.
* Adhere to internal SLAs and quality standards.
* Coordinate with third-party administrators, HR, Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other departments as needed.
* Participate in activities and projects within the DLS program.
* Maintain reliable and timely attendance.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
* Travel as required.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
* Experience supporting employees with benefits, leave of absences, HR, or employee relations.
* Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Fluent in written and verbal Spanish and English.
