Ensure uninterrupted essential services, including during crises or worker unrest. Develop and follow a written plan for continuing mission essential services per DFARs 252.237-7023, subject to government approval.
Job Summary
Perform Transient Alert Team Member functions at Moron Air Base, Spain. This role requires American nationality. Responsibilities include handling and servicing transient aircraft, towing tactical and heavy aircraft for crash recovery/transient alert duties, ground handling, aircraft servicing, escorting aircraft, recovery, inspections, and maintaining support equipment. Provide maintenance and supply support to aircrews and tow Aerospace Ground Equipment as needed. Monitor related programs.
Materials & Equipment Used
* Operate vehicles and AGE equipment supporting transient aircraft
* Handle products like liquid and gaseous oxygen, nitrogen, turbine engine oil, hydraulic fluid, and JP-8 fuel
* Wear hearing protection and PPE due to hazardous noise
* Push, pull, and lift heavy equipment
Working Environment
Work near various aircraft with engines running, in diverse weather conditions including cold, hot, rainy, and windy environments.
Physical Activities
* Stand or walk for extended periods
* Lift objects from ground level, with or without assistance
Roles and Responsibilities
* Execute aircraft servicing per technical data and protocols
* Pre-position equipment and perform damage checks before aircraft arrival/departure
* Assist with aircraft securing during bad weather
* Perform parking, chocking, grounding, marshaling, towing, refueling, and servicing of systems
* Maintain vehicle and equipment readiness
* Ensure safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance
* Assist with replenishing gases and documenting procedures
* Proficiently tow aircraft for crash recovery and transient alert
* Collaborate with team on aircraft recovery, servicing, inspection, and launch procedures
Basic Qualifications
* US Citizenship
* Valid U.S. Passport & Driver’s License
* Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain
* 2+ years experience in tactical or cargo aircraft maintenance or related fields
* Technical expertise in servicing transient aircraft
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
* Active US Secret Security Clearance
* Knowledge of environmental laws related to HAZMAT
* Understanding of aircraft crash damage or disabled aircraft recovery (CDDAR)
