Main purpose
The role supports the vegetable breeding pipeline with advanced testing practices to ensure product success, including managing internal and external trials, planning, executing external trials, and collecting phenotypic data. The position involves supporting testing research associates and breeding specialists to deliver solutions through advanced field operations, equipment, analytics, and automation techniques.
Key responsibilities
* Create and manage a team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of grower field trials.
* Collaborate effectively with testing and breeding teams, ensuring quality data collection and entry into enterprise systems.
* Plan and generate testing trials for product advancement and efficient breeding program functioning.
* Collect data using advanced phenotyping tools to support pipeline data generation.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead troubleshooting activities.
Key working relations
Local and regional R&D teams, testing and breeding specialists, automation and IT teams, and other breeding teams’ leads.
Qualifications & competencies
* B.S. in Plant Breeding, Crop Science, or related field.
* Experience in executing breeding project plans and analyzing breeding data.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, managing multiple projects.
* Effective communication skills across management levels in a multicultural setting.
* Strong strategic and analytical skills with a focus on achieving business results.
