ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
Our Senior QA Engineer will be a key pillar in SITAs contribution to a greener, more sustainable aviation through the enablement of flight and air traffic optimization.
Reporting to the QA Subject Expert, the Senior QA Engineer is overall responsible for the following key activities:
1. Develop and implement automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient testing processes.
2. Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases that thoroughly validate software functionality and performance.
3. Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, and anomalies in a clear and concise manner using issue tracking tools.
You will interact with the various functions within SITA FOR AIRCRAFT such as Engineering & Technology, Product, and other colleagues across the company, located in 20+ countries (Canada, United-States, France, Switzerland, Germany, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Spain...).
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
4. Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing, to verify the software's adherence to specifications.
5. Design and implement automated tests.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, specifications, and user stories.
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, leveraging automation to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Participate in test environment setup and configuration.
9. Collaborate with developers and product managers to prioritize and address issues, ensuring timely resolution and release readiness.
10. Provide clear and concise testing status updates to project stakeholders, including progress, risks, and recommendations.
11. Mentors and coordinates a small group of less experienced QAs ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
12. Proven experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation and proficiency in automation tools and frameworks
13. Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
14. Strong programming skills
15. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing
16. Familiar with SQL for querying databases, verifying data integrity, and performing data-related testing.
17. Strong analytical skills and attention to details, coupled with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex issues.
18. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
19. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
20. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools
21. University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Aeronautics, Mathematics or similar (or equivalent work experience)
NICE-TO-HAVE:
22. Experience in Java, Selenium, and Appium is a strong advantage.
23. Experience in the aviation industry or with applications related to aviation operations
24. ISTQB Foundation qualification or recognized country-specific qualifications
