We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Trainee to join our team at the Hotel.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to support the Finance Manager and team in day-to-day financial operations within the hotel industry.
Job Summary
The Finance Trainee supports the Finance Department in daily accounting and financial operations of the hotel.
This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in hotel finance, including revenue control, accounts payable and receivable, audits, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with hotel policies and international hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in daily accounting operations, including posting of journal entries and data entry
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Assist in checking and verifying invoices, bills, and supporting documents
Participate in daily revenue audits and income verification
Help reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and ledger accounts
Assist in preparing financial reports and month-end closing activities
Support inventory control and cost control procedures
Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies, internal controls, and SOPs
Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree or ongoing studies in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Good communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications and requirements
Currently enrolled in course (or just graduated) of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or similar.
Possibility to stablish and internship agreement with your University.
Preferably, be available to start:
Mid-March to September
Availability for 40h/week internship from Monday till Friday (less hours could be valuated) during 6 months.
Fluency in English (oral and written) is a must. Basic Spanish knowledge is required.
Previous internship experience in hotels is a big plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Excellent communication skills and organizational abilities.
